1. Complete one set of nail extensions on one hand using Soft Gel Tips and Soft Gel Tips Gel Adhesive, and create three salon-style nail art designs that fulfill the virtual client’s request.

2. Competitors will receive products for Soft Gel Tips application and a color palette at the site.

3. Competitors must bring their own gel curing lamps to apply Soft Gel Tips extensions and salon nail art.

4. The theme for each Soft Gel Tip Application with Salon Art competition must consist across 3 tips.

5. Competitors must bring their own tools and nail art materials to create salon-style nail art that suits the theme, as well as any additional tools and products needed for the Soft Gel Tips application.

6. The thumb and pinky nails should be sealed and finished with a clear gel top coat, without any nail art.

7. Soft Gel Tips Application: A set of full-cover tip nail enhancements should meet the following criteria:

Products and tips are neatly applied to the nail without excess product on the cuticle, sidewalls, or underside of the natural nails.
Products and tips are appropriately measured and applied cleanly, without air bubbles or dust, and seamlessly attached to the nail without any air gaps.
Nail tips are applied close to the cuticle line and cover both sidewalls, with no natural nails exposed.

8. Competitors will be given 15 minutes to prepare the tips for application. They may touch the hand model to measure the nail tips, but no product should be applied to the model or the tips until the competition begins. Violations will result in a point deduction from the overall score.

9. Competitors may file the nail tips during the pre-competition prep time.

10. No standard manicure will be performed during the competition. Models’ nails should be prepared for Soft Gel Tips application before the competition begins.

11. Competitors may use primer or base coat under the Soft Gel Tips, but these products must be applied after the competition starts.

12. All artwork must be done on-site. Pre-made artwork is not allowed.

13. Competitors must use at least two colors from the provided gel color palette to create the nail art. A full coat of color is not required (negative space is acceptable).

14. Competitors will create nail art on three extended nails. The designs should be cohesive and follow the theme based on the client’s request.

15. Nail art may be flat or raised. Raised surfaces must not exceed ¼ inch above the extended nail surface.

16. Competitors may use any embellishments or adornments to create the salon-style nail art; however, embellishments should not cover more than 20% of each nail. Competitors may also create nail art on the underside of the nails.

17. Glitters and chrome powders are allowed, but they should cover no more than 50% of each nail.

18. Competitors may NOT use any copyrighted art, designs, or logos.

19. Cleansing and moisturizing products are allowed.

20. All files and buffers must be new.

21. Soft Gel Tips Application with Salon Art will be judged in the following categories: workmanship, visual interest, color, finish work, detail, balance, design complexity, theme, product application, product control and overall impression
