NAILPRO® Competitions have evolved around every nail trend over the past decades, and this time we are pleased to announce this brand-new special category to celebrate 5th year of NAILPRO® Competitions ASIA - launched in 2019 in Seoul, Korea. This special category K-Pop Nail Art is to spotlight one of the biggest cultural trends in the world of nail artistry. K-Pop is now beyond music and performance; It is a multifaceted culture that influences lifestyle, fashion, and beauty trends all around the world, and a new genre of its own.
For this special category, NAILPRO® Competitions ASIA is excited to be collaborating with flourishing K-Pop Idol, BUSTERS to be the muse of our nail artistry. Design a set of nails that is inspired by Busters and their music.

1. K-Pop Nail art entry must consist of a set of 5 individual manufacturer tips. There is no limit on nail tip size, however tips must be graduated in size. Finished tips must be wearable; meaning, they are individual and able to be mounted to a base. Tips must remain individual and not be secured to one another by any medium. The design must be no more than 2” in height and 2” in width from the tip surface. The entry can NOT be extended over the base board (6”x8”). Design may encompass all 5 tips as a picture, but tips must remain individual.
2. Competitors may submit more than one entry but must pay a registration fee for each entry. If submitting more than one entry, only the points from the highest scoring entry count or team cup if you are one of the top 5-point earners.
3. On-Site / Mail-in: Entries must be presented in a closed box for us to transport. Inside the box the five tips must be SECURELY fastened to a plain (one color no texture no mirror), flat surface for the judging process. The size of the mounting surface is to be a maximum of 6 inches wide by 8 inches deep by ¼ tall and it must be FLAT, FLUSH AND STURDY. Do not attach your entry to the bottom of the box upon turn in. The judges MUST BE ABLE TO REMOVE YOUR WORK FROM THE BOX.
4. Mail-In Entries
① Your entry can may be turned in by competitor or someone other than the competitor at NAILHOLIC booth in NAILCON KOREA 2024 convention on JUNE 7, 2024.
② You must include your name and email in the shipping box. (Please DO NOT include your name anywhere on your entry.)
③ You must receive a tracking number when you send your entry.
④ You must email NAILPRO® ASIA (nailprocupasia@gmail.com) with the date the submission was sent.
⑤ You will receive a confirmation email when the submission is received.
⑥ It is the competitor’s responsibility to track the shipment if they do not receive a confirmation from us in a timely manner.
⑦ NAILPRO® Competitions ASIA, WATC®, NAILHOLIC are not responsible for lost and/or undelivered or damaged submissions turned in or returned to competitor.

5. The theme of K-Pop Nail Art must consist across all 5 tips. You may use copyrighted branding of Busters (emblems, album design and Busters official characters), however NO OTHER COPYRIGHTED elements to be used on the design.
6. Competitors can use any mediums and techniques to create K-Pop Nail Art. Acrylic, UV gel, gel polish, art gel, chrome/metal powders, acrylic paint and glitters are allowed. 3-D nail art, hand painting, embellishment, air-brushing techniques are also allowed to be used and incorporated in the design.
7. Tip original color does NOT matter. Top coat, UV gel sealant or glitter polish may be used. Finished design can have textured or raised surface.
8. Embellishments or adornments may be used. Crystals/rhinestones that are larger than a dime (0.7 inch in diameter), and rhinestones in any type of settings are not allowed. This includes pendants and/or jewelry pieces! Any used of 3D mold, stickers, art decals or design printed foils and stamping are NOT allowed.
9. NO Copyrighted element other than provided material is allowed at any time. Penalties will be given at judges’ discretion and possible disqualification may be incurred. Competitors may use a similar version of copyrighted art, design, or logo but they must not be identical to the original. If artwork does not follow criteria judges will determine point deductions.
10. Competitors must prepare and submit a written statement in two parts in English: one detailing the products and processes used to create the art (do NOT name specific brands or manufacturers), and one telling the story of your interpretation of the theme. Please list all embellishments or products on your written statement. Failure to provide this information will result in a 5-point deduction in overall score. DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME.
11. K-Pop Nail Art will be judged in the following categories: originality, visual interest, color, presentation, balance, design & detail, dimension, overall impression, complexity, workmanship, theme, and a special judging criteria.
12. Any design that has already won first place at any NAILPRO® competition cannot be reused by the winner or copied by other competitors in subsequent NAILPRO® competitions. The NAILPRO® competition staff will disqualify any design it considers similar to a winning design.
